Origin and history.
Lazulite is a blue, Phosphate mineral containing Magnesium, Iron, and Aluminium Phosphate. Lazulite crystallizes in the monoclinic system but material from Madagascar is from a massive non-crystalline deposit. Lazulite is a fairly rare stone which has a range of colour intensities from lighter blue with sometimes banded colour distribution else more solid colours of deeper darker blue.
