Chalcedony is easy to grind, cut and carve. Thats why it’s a populair mineral to use in jewelry.

Chalcedony has been populair for a long time, the first founds of jewelry with chalcedony in it came from 1800 years before Christ. There have been found knives, seals, and tableware of chalcedony as well. The name Chalcedony comes from the ancient Greeks, named to the Greek town Chalcedon in Asia Minor.
